crank out of 2.0

all new bearings;

polished;

crank back in:

1.8 engine being stripped;

1.8 engine:

1.8 head;

next job was the battery tray:

badly rusted so bought a new one from VW and went about fitting it:

mmmmmmmm!

today i have finally finished removing the old one. took a day and half as it was all seam welded etc!! that's it for now

Yeah will be worth it! Found out also when splitting the 1.8 head that it has never been re-built with 217,000 on the clocks! ooouch!

wooooohoooooooo. It's home! After a good old slog, the car is complete.....for now!

now it's just the matter of the exhaust.... :-( manifold problems! but gonna be sorted soon.

Along with a rolling road next weekend, with fueling, WUR mod and timing slightly advanced if needs be. Yayyy!
