 Dash Bulbs on Mk2

Hey guys, What would i have to do to change the dash bulbs in the clocks?

hello bloke easy job you have to take the plastic panel out that holds all your switches in then the clocks out which i think is 6 screws in total? 2 above your dials 1 behind your lights switch 2 behind your heater switches and 1 behind your hazards could be more but will only be for your clocks, once youve got the space pull the speedo out and your oil pressure pipe and the bulbs are twist fit at the top of the clocks should be able to twist the clocks in the dash and get to them, otherwise the multi plugs at the bottom of the clocks will have to be taken out again easy just take your fuse tray out and you can get your hands to them. mite be able to change them with just the plastic facia off?????

would you also suggest taking off the steering wheel for easier access?

depends i did mine without touching the steering wheel but i spose it depends ive still got my original GTI streering wheel easy peasy
