Wasssapnen fellas ?

No no Im not in no mags lol

Not much of an update tho as ive been fixing it more than anything, the bracket that conects the frount engine mount to the engine gave up due to a dodgy mount, so a new bracket and a solid mount sorted that problem out, now ive got a gapeing hole in my exhaust with no dolla to fix it, so ive cut a can of strongbow then jubili cliped it over the hole Cool proper cheep fix lol.

Any who, a mate of mine has just got a studio and asked if i fancied some pics, so i jumped at the chance. Hes never taken pictures of cars before so it was a practice for him.

His names richard walton if any of you are budding photographers, he's got his own style of wedding photography..

Think i could make it as a model ? Lmao

Its happend

Ive had enough !! lol

The past couple of months ive been having nothing but problems with the raddo, all little niggley things but when im using it daily i find im fighting a lost cause,

ide took the car to my cousins mate a Vw tec that knows his way around g60s, after a couple of hours he gave me a list of parts to the the old girl running ,weet he'd sort it out on saturday for nowt, Nice one !!!

THEN

my clutch decided to die on the way home, ffs its never ending.

Ive been toying with the idea of gettin rid for a while now but the only thing that keeps me comming back, Is what car can i
buy thatll turn has many heads ass the raddo ? (Yes i love the attention) lmao

soooooooo ive been doin abit of research here and there and decided the G-lader has to
go Sad

Yep the G-lader is going and being replaced with a 2.1 16vt Cool

The basic idea so farrrrr
2.0 16v 9a
83.5mm forged pistons and rods
apr headstuds
20vt inlet cut down ect
custom tubular exhaust manifold
garret gt28rs Orrr gt30
Hopefully run it all off the digifant managment.

I aiming for around 350+

Ill be building it over the summer and possibily through next winter

Nice plan there dude, don't know much about the 9a's, but wouldn't be better doing it with a ABF?

I have a 9a and would be willing to swop for an "Abused" G60! Wink

Bazz 9a's are apparently pretty strong, in stock they'll take 300hp FU all day, above that and then you are looking at forged stuff....

Smitty, I'd stay with stock 2.0 though it'll give you a bit more protection to the wet-liner and will run cooler too!

For all things 16v FI see 33-page thread on CF: Forced induction 16v thread

smiffy my man , i not only know of a perfect 2.0 16v for you (its actually a rebored kr TSR built)
but also that he is lookin for a G60! i think he wants all the ecu as well tho

you would be better off using megasquirt ECU

remember LUKE at edition38 the fella with the mk1 on magneesium ronals?

and he lives in reading

i like the idea tho 16vt niiiiice

devient, ive read that lot twice lol. i was going to stick with the stock internals and aim for around 300 but im not keen on the stacked gaskets idea, i want the engine to take abuse so forged stuff is the way to go.

Dread i new youd come up trumps with an engine lol, Couple of issues though.

If its been rebuilt its probaly been rebuilt to n.a spec ide still need pistons ect to lower the comp ratio ??? Plus ima need my loom.

Megasquirt is all abit confusing for me lol

Ill be putting the engine up for sale when i find a garage to start stripping it down. i might even sell the charger asap just to get the ball rolling, Charger + a couple of should get me some nice pistons.

gearbox ? these are all things i cant seem to find info on.

Would mine fit ? also are the engine mounts the same ? Can i use my drive shafts ect ?

I can find loads of info around tunning them but not much about sticking one into a g60.

i dont know what gearbox they use in the G60 , or wether it will take 300bhp standard i am sure you would need a LSD at least

i know the mk2 16v box doesnt like much over 190bhp

i know the VR6 box is good up to about 300 bhp without mods

you gonna have to ask some vr corrado boys?

you could use the 02a gearbox from mk3? they are strong and fit straight in mk1 and mk2

thing is the VR box and ABF box are cable change and i think your rod change?

the upside is you can fit the old berg cup style quick shifterMMMMMMMMMMMM

engine mounts are the same onna ABF as yours, and i think you will be able to use your driveshafts
