well I managed to get the back lowered on Wednesday before edition but really wanted some wheels so Thursday morning i popped out and brought some

COOOOKIE by Mat.Walker, on Flickr

not the best condition but they where dirt cheap, slapped them on the car then set about trying to unsieze the front coilovers i tried for hours, smashing the sh*t out of them with a hammer got the blow torch out nothing they would not budge at all, was getting late and i still hadn't packed my things for edition so i had to leave the front high Mad

went to go to tescos on saturday and my coils had settled and shredded my tires so when we got back pete had a go at rolling them along with the help of the nomads

DSC_0868 by Mat.Walker, on Flickr

i ended up raising the coils slightly thanks to Dale and his c spanners.

today i set about lowering the car again

arch rolled by Mat.Walker, on Flickr

this was the damage to the back tires

Been a while, car is now lowered on the front Very Happy

Only problem is I can't get the back any lower bottom of the threads, helper springs removed bumpstops gone, so a bit gutted I cant bring the back down, front could go down another inch on the threads.

In need of a wash

Hi guys. The golf is moving on, snapped the lock last Saturday so I have been climbing in and out of the boot plus the engine is just rubbish its gutless and painful to drive, over the last few months i have been trying to sort it out and have been going round to different people to ask their opinions on the engine problems, everyone I have spoke to about is left scratching their heads and its left me with the right hump. So I have decided to sell it in fact there is a guy coming from Bristol as i type to come and pick it up, took the wheels off and put it on steels, bit bummed as I quite liked the car and have had some fond memories in it especially ED38 this year, it still has the grass in it from the campsite Very Happy

But I have got a replacement and its a VW made in the same year I was born 1991, its also a little different, will chuck up another thread soon.
