What Adam said, if you don't scrape he'll hate hahaha

The mods you've done and your plans sound good mate, depending on what sort of look you want to go for and the practicality of 'teh lowz'
30-40 mm would be fine but I don't think I could justify a drop that small, unless I lived in the sticks haha

30-40mm drop seems a waste of money of coilovers, shocks and springs would proberly give you better results over 30-40mm, seem to be have/getting alot of bits from moden models tho! im a fan of 16V bumpers! your car tho !

Hi guys,

Thank you for all your responses. I appreciate that majority of you think that 40mm is a waste of time, however I must be sensible and think about being practical. I do a fair bit of load lugging and as such do not want to scrape speed bumbs all the way down a road.

40mm is'nt much mabe like mesure the distance you are from the floor and the distance from your tyre to the arch and just drop it enuff so theres no arch on show and still be high enuff for speed bumps + just depends how fast you take them Very Happy with my car i think if i was at a 80mm drop speed bumps wouldnt be a problem as its not to bad with a gti splitter but the vr6 one's ........ well i have broken 3 now Sad

Nice colour mate, I dont think you would even notice a 40mm drop, anyway as soon as you lower it 40mm you will just get the lowering bug and want to go lowwwww.

Adam stop buying 15 splitters from that polish geezer in Aylesbury!

Coilovers are a good idea, start at 40mm, least you can go lower. Agree with others, you probably won't notice 40mm but it's a good start position, deffo think you'll be nearer to 60 by the time you finish. Try FK streetline coilovers for about 190 on ebay, quite a few people like them. Also sign yourself up to clubpologti and get some ideas on there.

Just mod it for yourself

Thanks mate,

I'm looking forward seeing your's when I will start my new job in January. I'm currently running on steelies, as I really don't want salt ruining the paint on alloys. It will be mid March before I even consider to take them out of their blankets Smile

By the way, would you be Steve? because at SV's they can only think that it would be you. Pardon me if i'm mistaking here.

Right then, an update on a status of my polo.

Heater rings installed,
Speakers in the parcel shelf
And a new addition that wasn't on a list, is a VW Polo/SEAT Cordoba estate rear wiper arm. Pictures to come within few days.
Yet to fit are coilies, exhaust system? And 6000k HID kit.

Thank you all for looking.

Guys help please!!!!

Rear callipers are leaking fluid between underside of banjo and calliper face. Used new copper washers still leaking at the rate of 1 drip a second.

Does anyone know the correct torque setting for banjo bolts?

Thank you.

EV.
