 Uprated top mounts??

The clonking noise from my car turns out to be knackered front top mounts. Fitted new GSF ones 6 months ago with my coilovers, should i get VW mounts or uprated mounts? Has anyone else had this problem with GSF, spoke to allparts today and they said they're top mounts arent for cars with sports suspension.

gsf topmouns dont last long i'm afraid due to inferior materials, genuine ones are very good , but best to go for some uprated ones as they will last longer

you could go for OEM mk2 ones oem g60 ones,
its the bearing in the mount that goes


and yes gsf ones are useless cheap but useless

Dude i used genuine vw top mounts with my new coilys and that was 18 mths ago and still goin well, defo worth the extra few ££ over GSF ones! Smile

AYE GSF topmounts are about as good as a chocolate Fireguard... as you have found out...

VAG all the way for anything Suspension.... excluding coilies of course! Wink

Eurocarparts do powerflex stuff plus you get upto 20% with a nomads membership card. Smile

You can use mk3 vr6 top mounts on mk2s ... have a google.

Mine have lasted well over 10 track days and 15,000 road miles with a vr6 shaped lead weight at the front.

GSF ones are poo... use genuine.
