Your engine bay is so similar to mine... Where is the new filter box?

Yer as fixy says. That runs very low down into the arch! AdzR32 has the same in his van because of where the airbox was located on that. He got stuck in a puddle Laughing

http://www.thefind.com/cars/info-air-intake-bypass-valve

Invaluable - getting one for mine as my filter sits down in the lower arch now too.

Love a 1.8T with plenty of induction noise Very Happy

Good point, where are you now connecting the secondary air system intake?

Try under the scuttle tray, where the wipers are, these can fill up with leaves and block the drainage holes. Plus with all the rain we've been having the water won't drain, then will enter the car and the result will be what you have. Only a suggestion though.

You can buy whole assemblies with the regulators and inner door seals complete.
The door is designed to let water run down the outside of the window and into the door, these seals stop it running into the car. Stupid idea really. You can use bathroom sealant as an extra seal.
